Pentagon & iMove Align to Protect People, Missions, and Property

November 10th, 2008 by Business Wire - iMove Inc., the leading provider of immersive visual solutions for mission critical security and surveillance applications is pleased to announce their work with the Pentagon to provide credible and affordable solutions to the U.S. war fighter. Calling “nuclear weapons one of the world’s messy realities,” Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates said “that as long as others who could potentially threaten the United States possess or seek them, it’s critical that the United States does as well, and that they be kept safe, secure and reliable.” Gates made these statements during a speech at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace on October 28, 2008 in Washington, D.C. Recently, the Department of Defense (DoD) has begun leveraging iMove’s capabilities to assure the security of DoD’s people, missions, and property inclusive of strategic assets.

“iMove is well equipped to support the Pentagon’s mission,” said iMove’s CEO, John Herring. “Immersive imaging has quickly become a key component in security operations requiring timely, accurate, and actionable information.” During the summer of 2008, iMove’s GeoView ground based Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) solutions were deployed with U.S. military and allied forces at the Empire Challenge demonstration. The demonstration objectives were to assess and validate advanced capabilities for the war fighter. “We are pleased to have been selected and the results obtained by the U.S. and allied forces show how valuable ground based immersive imagery is to their mission,” said Herring.
